Lichborne: Analyzing the proposed patch 4.3 death knight tanking changes

Every week, WoW Insider brings you Lichborne for blood, frost, and unholy death knights. In the post-Cataclysm era, death knights are no longer the new kids on the block. So recently, Lead Systems Designer Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street posted a new Dev Watercooler discussing the ins and outs of the new active mitigation tank philosophy. My preliminary verdict would be pretty simple: It's a pretty big help. It fixes or mitigates a lot of our quality of life issues, it makes a little less squishy, and it nullifies rune tetris nicely. I can't really disagree with the individual changes or the rationale behind them. That said, it doesn't completely solve our problems, and there are probably one or two more little things to be done before stuff looks really good. Let's take a look at the specifics.

The skills, they are a-changing'

Outbreak The dev team has realized that we have a unique issue when it comes to applying the standard tanking debuffs offered by our diseases. Because they generally use the same runes as our main defensive ability, Death Strike, we leave ourselves uniquely vulnerable to damage by applying them, leaving us vulnerable to extra damage for the 8 seconds or so it takes those runes to refresh. Outbreak could, in theory, fix this by allowing a rune-free way to apply diseases, but at a 1-minute cooldown, it's not viable for long stretches of time.www.threadwow.com

In patch 4.3, we'll see that cooldown reduced to 30 seconds for blood death knights. This should handily take care of most issues, since Pestilence should take care of spreading diseases where needed while Outbreak is on cooldown. It's a quick, dirty fix, but it works. I think the only other idea I'd have would be to make Blood Boil a Thunder Clap-style move and allow it to spread our diseases, if only because Outbreak has the issue of not doing much up-front threat. That said, that's probably not as huge of an issue with the recent threat changes. Two global cooldowns and 1 blood rune to put our diseases on a large group is a pretty solid Band-Aid fix.

What makes the ZBoard    AION kinahan ideal Warcraft keyboard are the special custom keysets that can replace the QWERTY layout while playing the game. These custom keysets provide dedicated buttons for movement as well as additional buttons that can be mapped to other game functions.

Having the special dedicated buttons does not mean that text based chatting cannot be done however. In gaming mode the ZBoard still provides a full QWERTY character set, although the right hand keys are oriented in a manner that makes it difficult for a touch typist to get used to. How does a game like Entropia fit into this issue? If the primary objective is to make money, as opposed to simply venturing through a storyline and having some fun, then where's the secondary market? They just want people to have fun in these games. Not everyone has the money to invest in such things and not everyone cares to do so. Such an economy can pose problems too, inviting opportunities for fraud. At least if someone defrauds you in a normal virtual world, where no secondary market exists, you've maybe   wow power level  lost a bit of effort. If you've lost money, it's gone for good. Heck, the existence of the Secondary Market is why some want the government to tax virtual incomes. If you ever decide to quit a game and sell stuff, you won't get anywhere near the amount of money you paid for it. MMOs don't need to carry that kind of risky investing.

After that we tailor the enemies and allies to fit exactly what we've written in the story. British warships against the local pirate gang, things like that. If it still doesn't feel right with the story, we change minor pieces of logic in the missions to make it match up with what you're reading. When we want to get fancy (and we find ourselves doing it a lot) we go for broke and handcraft a mission -- all new logic, all new enemies and friends. Sometimes making a mission like this takes a day -- I've done some that have taken me multiple days to get exactly the cinematic feel I wanted wow gold    to evoke in that particular mission.  The biggest think we've done to allow players of different levels is to not take level into account in any of the combat calculations. You get more skills, so you have more options, but in general the power level of the skills tops out at about level 15. What does get quite a bit more powerful are the ships, since obviously a 50 gun ship is going to do quite a bit more damage than a 6 gun schooner. Because the ship you're using is such a big part of your capability, we take the minimum level of the ship into effect in the experience calculations. A higher level player in a level 10 ship may or may not get XP for himself, but he will not prevent level groupmates from earning XP. His high level skills will make the fight easier, but not a cake-walk like it would be if he were in his level-appropriate ship.

 It's simply not possible to monopolize  cheap wow gold anything. There are no restrictions on the number of producers who can use a resource, and there are no restrictions on the number of producers who can operate in a port. What's more, everyone can make everything, regardless of level. So as a newbie, you can make the same goods that the experienced veteran can make. he's probably going to be more efficient, and have a bigger operation overall, but oak is oak, and when you're building a ship you need a LOT of oak. If the market expands -- prices rise, and there's more currency in circulation -- that means that new players are getting more money for their goods right along with the experienced players. There's no 'crafting trash' that you just dump onto a vendor when you're done making it. Every produced item is critical in some way to producing higher-end items. The big advantage as a high-level producer? Transportation. High-level merchants get HUGE ships. And when you're dealing in thousands of tons of oak and iron, you need all the cargo capacity you can get.
